La Trobe International Scholarship (LTIS)

La Trobe University values academic excellence. High achieving International students thinking about applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate course will be automatically be considered for this scholarship. 


The La Trobe International Scholarship (LTIS) rewards high achieving International students. This scholarship is worth between 15% to 25% off the annual tuition fees for the duration of studies.

Up to 25% reduction in course fees

Are you eligible to apply?

Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand and be applying to start an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program. 

Be a new International students applying for 2021 or 2022 intakes. 

Be a full fee-paying student (Non-sponsored).

How to apply

Applicants will be automatically considered for the scholarship after submitting an application for an LTIS approved course. 


Percentage awarded is based on the WAM and overall eligibility of the course. The scholarship will be included in the Letter of Offer. 


The scholarship will be reflected on the student's statement of account after the census-date once the student have accepted the offer, paid the require deposit mentioned on the offer letter and enrolled into their course. 


*A WAM is an average mark that takes into account the credit point value of the subjects that you have completed. It is based on the actual mark of all subjects completed in your course at any given time.

Early Bird Acceptance Grant (EBAG)

International students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate course to study at La Trobe University can be rewarded a bonus grant for completing their admission process early. Recipients will automatically be eligible to receive an Early Bird Acceptance Grant of 5% of the first-year tuition fees.

Be a citizen of a country other than Australia or New Zealand. 

Be a new International student applying to study in any intake in 2021 and 2022 

Be a full fee-paying student (Non-sponsored). 

Meet all the conditions outlined in the offer, accept the offer, and pay the required deposit mentioned on the offer, within a stated deadline.

How to apply

Students will automatically be considered when applying for an approved course. Students may apply directly through StudyLink. 

To receive this grant the student will need to accept their offer by paying the deposit mentioned in their offer letter before the Acceptance deadline.

Regional Victoria Experience Bursary

The Regional Victoria Experience Bursary is a top-up bursary for high-achieving prospective international students who are willing to undertake an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree in one of our Regional Campuses. 


This Regional Victoria Experience bursary is an additional one-off payment added to the percentage deduction awarded from the La Trobe International Scholarship (LTIS) or one of our Region-specific International scholarships. LTIS and our region-specific scholarships offer applicants up to 30% in deductions from total tuition fees. The regional bursary is a combination of this one-off payment plus ongoing deductions to acknowledge the hard work and dedication students display throughout their studies.

How to apply

An applicant will be automatically considered for the bursary based on their WAM. 

If successful, the bursary will be included in the offer letter. 

Applicants who have already applied/accepted to commence in 2021 and 2022 intakes will be considered for the bursary if they have met the eligibility criteria.

La Trobe University OSHC Grant

The La Trobe University OSHC grant is for prospective international students undertaking a postgraduate degree at our Victorian campuses.


Amount

$1400 One-off payment for Single OSHC Cover for up to 1400 AUD.

Are you eligible to apply?

Be a new commencing international student applying to a postgraduate degree at one of La Trobe's Victorian campuses commencing in Semester 2, Term 6, Summer 1 2021, or Semester 1 2022. 

The applicant must be a citizen or permanent resident of a country other than Australia or New Zealand. 

Apply for a postgraduate coursework program at one of La Trobe's Victorian campuses: Melbourne (Bundoora), City Campus, Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, Mildura and Shepparton. 

Apply for Semester 2, Term 6, Summer 1 2021, or Semester 1 2022. The grant will only be issued to eligible students who accept their offer after the 1st April 2021. 

Be a full fee-paying student (Non-sponsored) 

The applicant must meet all the conditions in their offer letter. The student should agree to purchase OSHC from La Trobe University's insurance provider, Medibank.

How to apply

Complete the online application. The online application form will be distributed to students who have been made an offer 

Successful candidates will be announced every fortnight and they will receive a revised offer. 

There are limited grants available. Successful candidates will be required to meet all conditions (if applicable) outlined in their Letter of Offer and accept their offer before the grant can be applied.

ELICOS Scholarship

The ELICOS scholarship is a grant for prospective international students who will undertake an English for Further Studies (ELICOS) course with La Trobe College Australia (LTCA) followed by an undergraduate or postgraduate degree at La Trobe University.

Percentage deduction on ELICOS tuition fees

Are you eligible to apply?

New international students applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program at La Trobe University in 2021 or 2022 preceded by an ELICOS course at La Trobe College Australia. Limited ELICOS places and scholarships are available.

The applicants must be a citizen or permanent resident of a country other than Australia or New Zealand 

Be a new international commencing student applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework program commencing in Semester 2, Term 6, Summer 1 2021, Semester 1 2022, and Semester 2 2022. 

Be a full fee-paying student (non-sponsored student).

How to apply

The applicants who successfully receive an ELICOS offer will automatically be considered for the scholarship based on the eligibility criteria.

La Trobe South East Asia Scholarship

Do you have an excellent academic record? 


La Trobe University values academic excellence. High achieving International students thinking about applying for an undergraduate or postgraduate course will be automatically be considered for this scholarship. 


The La Trobe South East Asia Scholarship rewards high achieving International students This scholarship is worth between 20% to 30% off the annual tuition fees for the duration of studies.

Be a citizen of Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines or Vietnam. 

Be a new international student applying for 2021 or 2022 intakes. 

Be a full-fee paying student (Non-sponsored).
