The Migration Law Act 1958 prescribes the specifics of visa applications that can be handled by the Administrative Appeals Tribunal (AAT).  In general, visa applicants, sponsors or immediate family members may be eligible to submit appeal applications.

AAT will only accept appeal applications submitted within specified time limits. Applicantions deemed ineligible will not be accepted either. The appeal applicant can appoint a representative to submit written applications and evidence to the tribunal and accompany the applicant  to attend the hearing.

Only registered migration agents and lawyers can provide immigration assistance according to the law.
